Frequently asked questions

  • The easiest way to park would be on Woodward, Kirby, or Ferry St. While our landlord (The Park Shelton) does allow our guests to use their structure for a fee, they don’t make it easy. If you decide to use the structure and can get in, be sure to pay the guard at the security desk before dining.

  • Because of our aggressive pricing structure, late cancellations and no-shows are particularly devastating to our business. If your plans change and you (or one of your guests) cannot come, we recommend that you transfer your reservation to someone else. Reschedulings are permitted with a minimum of 3 days notice. If you discover you can’t make it less than 3 days from your reservation time, one rescheduling is allowed with a $10 per person fee, and the updated reservation must be within 2 weeks of the original date. Unfortunately, this policy is non-negotiable and exceptions cannot be made.

  • Yes. The reservation is completely transferable. Please note, however, that selling reservations for greater than face value may be illegal in your area. Anyone who purchases a reservation from another patron should take care to ensure that they have a received a formal transfer of the reservation through the restaurant’s official website. Any reservations purchased on the secondary market are at the purchaser’s risk. We cannot accept responsibility for forgeries or misrepresentations.

  • Kind of… We’re happy to send out a selection of the items that our chef is most excited about, but it’ll still be in a shared-plates format. If you’d prefer a more refined, individually plated multi-course experience, we highly recommend our sister restaurant Freya, at 2929 E. Grand Boulevard!

  • You know it! Bar and lounge seating is first come, first served. However, if you’d prefer sitting there over a traditional table, we can often (but not always) save you some seats. Just ask!

  • This charge allows us to offset the massive credit card fees we pay annually, while also offering our staff paid health care. If you’d like this charge removed, you can always pay with cash, like an old-school g.

  • The Park Shelton was built in 1926, and one of the original restaurants was called The Emerald Room. We thought about calling it The Green Room (because our kitchen is so small that fresh, local ingredients would be essential to our menu), but that name was taken. We love Chartreuse (the 500+ year old French liqueur), and it has over 130 botanical ingredients that grow in the mountains where it’s made.
